Californian residents who are 18 years or older and U.S. citizens can register to vote. Information for new voters, including election dates and resources, can be found on the California Secretary of State's website.

Upcoming Election Dates

The upcoming 2024 Presidential Primary Election will be held on March 5, 2024. Vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received by March 12, 2024.

Registration Deadlines

The last day to register to vote for the primary election is February 21, 2024. Conditional registration and provisional ballots are still available until 8:00 pm on Election Day at your county elections office or any voting location in your county.
